St. John Properties Inc. has acquired an additional 18 acres of land within the massive Baltimore Crossroads @ 95 development in White Marsh. St. John said the property will connect two existing land parcels in the development and create a contiguous 60-acre building plot. The acquisition price was not disclosed.
The land will be used for a road and improved infrastructure. Construction is expected to start next month and be completed by the end of the year.
Baltimore-based St. John owns roughly half of the 1,000-acre Baltimore County project on MD Route 43 near Interstate 95. Since 2004, St. John has developed 16 buildings of office, research and development, and retail at Baltimore Crossroads. Other partners in the project are Somerset Construction Co., First Industrial Realty Trust and Chesapeake Real Estate Group LLC.
The project is designed for more than 5 million square feet office, R&D/flex, warehouse, and industrial space, as well as two hotels and 450,000 square feet of retail space. The project includes the Arbors at Baltimore Crossroads, a 365-unit apartment complex.
